We need you to act now to stop KUR-World, an ill-thought out mega development that could triple Kuranda's population.
And Email the minister NOW!
We've seen it all before!
Port Hinchinbrook promised a similar resort style.
Paradise Palms at Kewarra Beach lasted as a resort for less than 20 years.
BOTH became poorly planned residential blocks - with improper infrastructure: Dogs, cats, cars... bye bye cassowary, bye bye frogs.
KUR-World could well end up a very large residential subdivision with several thousand people.
You will make a difference if you email Anthony Lynham, Minister for State Development, in charge of projects with “coordinated project status.” [i.e. In charge of fast tracking]
We need to show Minister Lynham that people are watching and organising.

Suggested wording for you to start your email
Dear Minister Lynham,
Stop the current work at the Barnwell Property at Kuranda.
There's already been unlawful development resulting in damage to waterways.
These are 2 of just a handful of creeks which are home to the critically endangered Kuranda Tree Frog.
Suburbs should not be built outside the planning regime in environmentally sensitive areas with active cultural heritage issues
Proper consultation with Traditional Owners should be made.
And don't forget to mention
"We've seen it before!"
